This policy explains what information ApplyACreditCard.com (“we”, “us”) collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have written it to be read, not skimmed past. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it.
The short version
- You can browse, compare and use the Card Finder without giving us any personal information.
- We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It relies on cookies and collects technical data such as pages viewed and device type.
- If you contact us, we keep your name, email and message so we can reply.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- Applications happen on the bank’s website, under the bank’s privacy policy, not ours.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, the topic, any page link you include and your message. We use this only to respond to you and to improve the site.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our servers and analytics tools record technical information when you visit: your IP address (shortened by Google Analytics), browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, the site that referred you, and which buttons you click (for example, “Apply now” or a comparison). This tells us which pages are useful and which need work.
Card Finder answers
Your Card Finder answers are processed in your browser to produce results. We record anonymous, aggregated answer patterns in analytics (for example, “fuel” as a spending category) but never link them to your name or contact details.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies:
- Essential cookies that keep the website working and secure.
- Analytics cookies from Google Analytics (names starting with
_ga) that count visits and measure how pages are used. - Partner tracking: when you click an apply link, the bank or affiliate partner may set its own cookies on its website to record that you came from us.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on. The site works normally without analytics cookies.
How we use information
- To answer your messages and correction requests.
- To understand which content helps readers and improve it.
- To keep the site secure and prevent spam or abuse.
- To meet legal obligations.
Links to banks and other websites
Apply buttons take you to the website of a bank, lender or affiliate partner. Anything you enter there, including your PAN, Aadhaar, income details and documents, is collected by them under their own privacy policies. We do not receive it. Please read their policies before you apply.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal data. We share data only with service providers that help run the site (our hosting provider and Google Analytics), when required by law, or to protect our rights and users.
How long we keep data
Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or withdraw consent you have given. Send a request through our contact page with the topic “Complaint / grievance”, and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
