Most cashback cards in India give their best rate only on a handful of partner apps. The SBI Cashback Credit Card doesn’t. It pays 5% on eligible online spends on any website or app, plus 1% offline. If you already do most of your shopping, bill payments and bookings online, this is one of the highest-earning everyday cards you can get.
How the cashback works
| Where you spend | What you get |
|---|---|
| Online spends (any website or app) | 5% |
| Offline spends (eligible categories) | 1% |
| Combined monthly cap | ₹4,000 per statement cycle |
| Fuel | No cashback; 1% surcharge waiver on ₹500–₹3,000, up to ₹100 per cycle |
Good to know: cashback is credited automatically within two working days of your statement, so there is nothing to redeem and no expiry.
What you would actually earn
Spend ₹20,000 a month online and ₹10,000 offline and you earn ₹1,000 + ₹100 = ₹1,100 a month, or about ₹13,200 a year. That level of spending (₹3.6 lakh a year) also clears the ₹2 lakh threshold for the annual fee waiver.
The ₹4,000 cap is reached at about ₹80,000 of online spending a month, which is high enough that most people will never hit it.
