The HDFC Bank BizPower Credit Card is a mid-tier business card for self-employed professionals and business owners. Its standout feature is 5X reward points on the payments businesses can’t avoid: income tax, GST, utility bills through PayZapp and SmartPay, and business purchases such as Google Ads and Reliance Digital. Like all HDFC Biz cards, it gives up to 55 days of interest-free credit on business expenses, which can smooth out cash flow between paying suppliers and getting paid by customers.
How the rewards work
| Where you spend | What you earn | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Eligible business expenses | 4 points per ₹150 | Up to ₹0.50 a point |
| PayZapp and SmartPay bills, income tax, GST, Google Ads, Reliance Digital (spends above ₹25,000 a cycle) | 5X points | Up to 5,000 bonus points a cycle |
| Quarterly milestone: ₹2.5 lakh spend | ₹2,500 MakeMyTrip or Reliance Digital voucher | Every quarter |
What you would actually earn
At 4 points per ₹150 and up to ₹0.50 a point, the base rate works out to up to about 1.3%. A business that puts ₹2.5 lakh a quarter through the card, including its GST and tax payments, earns base points plus 5X bonus points on the qualifying portion above ₹25,000 a cycle, and also collects four ₹2,500 vouchers a year, worth ₹10,000. That spend level (₹10 lakh a year) is also well above the ₹4 lakh fee waiver.
Travel and lifestyle benefits
| Domestic lounges | 2 a quarter, plus 2 more on ₹75,000 spend in the previous quarter |
|---|---|
| International lounges | 6 a quarter through Priority Pass |
| Welcome benefit | Amazon Prime annual membership and 6-month BizPrime subscription on one online transaction within 30 days |
| Dining | Up to 7.5% savings on Swiggy Dineout at 20,000+ restaurants |
That is up to 40 lounge visits a year, which is unusually generous for a card at this fee.
Business tools
Through the SmartBuy BizDeals platform you get up to 40% off business software such as Tally, Office 365, AWS, Google Workspace and Credflow. For a small business, a single annual software subscription bought this way can cover the card’s fee.

Who should get it, and who shouldn’t
Get it if you run a business that pays meaningful GST, tax and utility bills and travels a few times a year. The 5X categories and lounge visits are where it shines.
Skip it if your business spend is under ₹4 lakh a year or you file an ITR below ₹12 lakh. BizFirst or BizGrow are cheaper starting points.
