The HDFC Bank Regalia Gold Credit Card is one of the most popular step-up cards in India. For ₹2,500 + GST a year it bundles 18 airport lounge visits, 5x reward points at four lifestyle brands, travel and food memberships, and up to ₹16,000 a year in milestone vouchers. It suits people who already spend steadily on one card and want that spending to pay for travel perks.
How the rewards work
| Where you spend | What you earn |
|---|---|
| Marks & Spencer, Myntra, Nykaa, Reliance Digital | 5x reward points |
| Daily and retail spends: grocery, apparel, utility bills, insurance, school fees | 4 reward points per ₹150 |
| Swiggy Dineout (20,000+ restaurants) | Up to 20% off restaurant bills |
Good to know: unlike many cards, Regalia Gold earns its regular points on utility bills, insurance and school fees, so large fixed payments still count.
Milestone vouchers
| Spend | Reward | Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| ₹1.5 lakh in a quarter | ₹1,500 voucher (Marriott, Myntra, M&S or Reliance Digital) | Up to 4 a year |
| ₹5 lakh in a year | ₹5,000 SmartBuy flight voucher | Once |
| ₹7.5 lakh in a year | Another ₹5,000 SmartBuy flight voucher | Once |
What you would actually get
Spend ₹1.5 lakh every quarter and you collect four ₹1,500 vouchers (₹6,000) and, at ₹6 lakh for the year, a ₹5,000 flight voucher. That is ₹11,000 in vouchers on top of your regular reward points, and the ₹4 lakh fee waiver is cleared too. Push to ₹7.5 lakh a year and the total reaches the full ₹16,000.
At lower spending, say ₹20,000 a month, you miss the milestones and the card is worth it mainly for lounges and points. That is still reasonable value if you fly a few times a year, but you will pay the fee.

Who should get it, and who shouldn’t
Get it if you spend ₹30,000 or more a month, fly a few times a year and like shopping at Myntra, Nykaa or Reliance Digital. You will use the lounges, earn the milestones and likely get the fee waived.
Skip it if you spend under ₹15,000 a month or rarely travel. A no-fee or low-fee cashback card will give you more for that level of spending.
