The HDFC Swiggy Ornge Credit Card is built for app-first spending. It pays 5% cashback on Swiggy (food delivery, Instamart and Dineout) and on online shopping at Amazon, Flipkart, Reliance Digital, Ajio and more, plus 1% on everything else. A free 12-month Swiggy One membership on activation and a ₹500 fee that is easy to waive make it a strong everyday card.
How the cashback works
| Where you spend | Cashback | Cap |
|---|---|---|
| Swiggy app: food delivery, Instamart, Dineout | 5% | ₹1,500 a month (shared) |
| Online shopping: Amazon, Flipkart, Reliance Digital, Ajio and more | 5% | ₹1,500 a month (shared) |
| Other categories | 1% | ₹1,000 a month |
Earns nothing at 5% on: Swiggy Money wallet, Swiggy Liquor, certain other categories, and any transaction under ₹249.
What you would actually earn
Spend ₹8,000 a month on Swiggy and Instamart and ₹7,000 on Amazon and Flipkart, and you earn ₹750 at 5%. Another ₹10,000 of other spends adds ₹100. That is ₹850 a month, or about ₹10,200 a year, and your ₹3 lakh of yearly spend comfortably clears the ₹1.5 lakh fee waiver.
The ₹1,500 cap on 5% cashback is reached at ₹30,000 of eligible spending a month, which most people won’t hit. Keep each order above ₹249 so it qualifies.
Other benefits
- Swiggy One: complimentary 12-month membership on card activation.
- Golf: up to 12 complimentary lessons and 4 free rounds a year, plus 50% off additional rounds.
- Interest-free credit: up to 50 days.
Because Amazon, Flipkart, Reliance Digital and Ajio are also in the 5% bucket, this card can double as your main online shopping card, not just a food card.
The Swiggy One membership gives you extra savings on deliveries for a full year, so the ₹500 joining fee is quickly recovered.

Who should get it, and who shouldn’t
Get it if you order on Swiggy or Instamart every week and also shop on Amazon, Flipkart or Ajio. The 5% covers both, and Swiggy One pays off quickly.
Skip it if you order mostly on Zomato or spend largely offline. The card’s best rate is tied to Swiggy and online shopping.
