The Axis Magnus Credit Card is built for people who spend a lot and travel often. Its two big draws are unlimited lounge access in India and abroad and a reward rate that jumps from 12 to 35 EDGE points per ₹200 once your monthly spends cross ₹1.5 lakh. The ₹12,500 fee is steep, but the welcome voucher gives you the same amount back in year one.
How the rewards work
| Spend | Earn rate |
|---|---|
| Monthly spends up to ₹1.5 lakh | 12 EDGE points per ₹200 |
| Incremental spends above ₹1.5 lakh in a month | 35 EDGE points per ₹200 |
| Spends via Travel Edge | 5X reward points |
Good to know: the scraped details do not state the rupee value of a Magnus EDGE point, so check the current redemption value on Axis Bank’s site before you compare it with other cards.
How the points add up
Spend ₹2 lakh in a month and you earn 9,000 points on the first ₹1.5 lakh (12 × 750) plus 8,750 points on the next ₹50,000 (35 × 250), or 17,750 points. On ₹1 lakh, you earn 6,000. The card rewards the rupee spent above ₹1.5 lakh almost three times as well as the rupee below it, so it suits people who can route most of their spending to one card.

Who should get it, and who shouldn’t
Get it if you regularly spend ₹1.5 lakh or more a month on cards, travel internationally a few times a year and want lounge access without counting visits.
Skip it if your monthly card spend is under about ₹1 lakh. After the first year you would pay ₹12,500 + GST for benefits you cannot fully use, and a mid-range travel card will serve you better. The same applies if most of your travel is domestic and infrequent.
