The Tata Neu Plus SBI Credit Card is the entry version of SBI Card’s Tata Neu range. It returns rewards as NeuCoins (1 NeuCoin = ₹1), with 2% on Tata Neu and Tata brands, up to 7% with Tata NeuPass on select categories, and 1% on UPI and other spends. The ₹499 fee is matched by welcome NeuCoins and waived at ₹1 lakh a year.
How the NeuCoins work
| Where you spend | What you earn | Cap |
|---|---|---|
| Tata Neu app/website and partner Tata brands | 2% as NeuCoins | |
| Select categories with Tata NeuPass | Extra 5% (up to 7% total) | |
| Non-Tata spends and UPI | Up to 1% as NeuCoins | 500 NeuCoins a month |
| Joining fee paid | 499 NeuCoins | Once |
Good to know: NeuCoins can be redeemed only across Tata Neu partner brands, such as BigBasket, Croma and Tata CLiQ. They are worth the most if you already shop there.
What you would actually earn
Spend ₹5,000 a month on Tata brands through Tata Neu and ₹15,000 on other spends and UPI. That is 100 + 150 = 250 NeuCoins a month, or ₹3,000 a year in Tata savings, before any NeuPass bonus. With NeuPass on select categories the Tata portion can rise much higher. At ₹2.4 lakh a year you also clear the ₹1 lakh fee waiver easily.
Plus vs Infinity
| Neu Plus | Neu Infinity | |

| Non-Tata and UPI | Up to 1% | Up to 1.5% |
| Annual fee | ₹499 + GST | ₹1,499 + GST |
| Fee waiver | ₹1 lakh spend | ₹3 lakh spend |
| Salaried income | ₹25,000 a month | ₹1 lakh a month |

Who should get it, and who shouldn’t
Get it if you buy groceries on BigBasket, electronics at Croma or shop other Tata brands, and want a low-fee card that also earns on UPI.
Skip it if you rarely use Tata brands. NeuCoins have little use outside the Tata Neu ecosystem, so a plain cashback card would suit you better.
