The Tata Neu HDFC Bank Credit Card is built for the Tata ecosystem. Shop on BigBasket, Croma, Tata 1mg, Tata CLiQ, Westside, Titan, Tanishq or Air Asia through the Tata Neu app with NeuPass and you can get up to 10% back as NeuCoins. It also pays up to 1.5% on UPI and everyday spends, has no joining fee, and comes in two variants: Neu Plus and Neu Infinity.
How the rewards work
| Feature | Neu Plus | Neu Infinity |
|---|---|---|
| Tata brands via Tata Neu app/website (with NeuPass) | Up to 10% | Up to 10% |
| Non-Tata spends and merchant EMI | 1% | 1.5% |
| UPI spends (max 500 NeuCoins a month) | 1% | 1.5% |
| Airport lounges | 4 domestic a year | 8 domestic + 4 international a year |
| Fuel surcharge waiver (₹400–₹5,000) | Up to ₹250 per cycle | Up to ₹500 per cycle |
Remember: the headline 10% applies only when you buy through the Tata Neu app or website and are registered for NeuPass. Buying from a Tata brand elsewhere earns the regular rate.
What you would actually earn
On the Infinity variant, say you spend ₹5,000 a month on Tata brands through the app, ₹10,000 on UPI and ₹15,000 on other spends. At up to 10%, 1.5% and 1.5% that is up to ₹500 + ₹150 + ₹225 = ₹875 in NeuCoins a month, or about ₹10,500 a year. That ₹3.6 lakh of annual spend also clears the ₹3 lakh waiver, so Infinity costs nothing after year one.
If you spend less, Neu Plus is the safer choice: its ₹499 fee is waived at ₹1 lakh a year, about ₹8,400 a month.
Neu Plus or Neu Infinity?
Choose Neu Plus if you earn ₹25,000–₹1 lakh a month, spend under ₹25,000 a month on the card, or mainly want the Tata brand rewards. Its fee is low and easy to waive. Choose Neu Infinity if you qualify on income, spend ₹25,000 or more a month and fly a few times a year. The extra 0.5% on everyday and UPI spends, the international lounge visits and the higher fuel waiver cap add up quickly at that level.
Other benefits
- UPI rewards: UPI spends, including at partner Tata brands, earn NeuCoins, up to 500 a month.
- Merchant EMI: EMI purchases at merchants still earn the regular NeuCoin rate.
- Fuel: 1% surcharge waiver at all fuel stations in India on ₹400–₹5,000 transactions.

Get it if you already buy groceries on BigBasket, medicines on 1mg or electronics at Croma, and want strong rewards on UPI too. Infinity suits higher earners who travel; Plus suits everyone else.
Skip it if you rarely use Tata brands. NeuCoins are most useful inside the Tata ecosystem, so a plain cashback card may serve you better.
