The AU Tejas Credit Card is a ₹500 + GST card from AU Small Finance Bank aimed at everyday savers. Instead of one big reward rate, it spreads 10% discounts and cashback across five everyday categories, and pays 5 reward points per ₹100 on bookings and purchases made through AU Rewards. Each point is worth ₹0.25.
Monthly 10% offers
| Category | Benefit | Cap |
|---|---|---|
| Movies via District by Zomato | 10% instant discount | ₹50 a month |
| Amazon Grocery and Amazon Now | 10% instant discount | ₹50 a month |
| Zomato food delivery | 10% instant discount | ₹50 a month |
| Cab services via the AU 0101 app | 10% cashback | ₹50 a month |
| Bill payments via the AU 0101 app | 10% cashback | ₹50 a month |
Each offer is capped at ₹50 a month, so the most you can save is ₹250 a month, or ₹3,000 a year, if you use all five. Each cap is reached at ₹500 of spending in that category.
How the reward points work
| Where you spend | Points | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Flights, hotels, vouchers, shopping and bill payments through AU Rewards | 5 points per ₹100 | 1.25% |
| Other eligible retail spends | 1 point per ₹100 | 0.25% |
| 5 transactions of ₹500+ in a statement cycle | 500 bonus points | ₹125 |
Caps: utility and telecom transactions earn at most 100 points each.
What you would actually earn
Use all five 10% offers (₹250), make five ₹500+ purchases for the monthly bonus (₹125) and put ₹10,000 of other spending on the card (about ₹25), and you get roughly ₹400 a month. That is about ₹4,800 a year, though it depends on using the offers and the bonus every single month.
Other features
- Welcome gift: 2,000 bonus points or a ₹500 brand voucher after paying the joining fee, activating and transacting within 30 days.
- EMI conversion on transactions of ₹500 and above, with a minimum total of ₹2,000.
- Fuel surcharge waiver of 1% on ₹400–₹5,000 transactions, up to ₹100 per statement cycle.
Things to watch
- The ₹50 caps are small; each offer is maxed out at just ₹500 of spending in that category.
- Cab and bill payment cashback only applies when you pay through the AU 0101 app.
- The 5-point rate needs you to book or buy through AU Rewards rather than directly on merchant sites.
- Utility and telecom transactions are capped at 100 points each, so very large bills earn less than you might expect.

Who should get it, and who shouldn’t
Get it if you like collecting small, regular savings on food delivery, groceries, movies and bills, and you will remember to use each offer every month. The welcome gift roughly covers the first-year fee.
Skip it if you want a high flat rate on all spending. Outside AU Rewards, 0.25% is weak.
