The Axis Privilege Visa Credit Card is the Visa-network version of Axis Bank’s Privilege card.‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌ Its main draw is the welcome bonus: pay the ₹1,500 + GST joining fee, make one transaction in 30 days and you get 12,500 EDGE Points. After that, it earns 10 EDGE Points per ₹200, gives a free movie ticket every month and adds domestic lounge access for regular spenders.

Point value: Axis values the 10,000-point milestone at ₹2,000, so each EDGE Point is worth about ₹0.20 and the base rate works out to roughly 1%.

What you would actually earn

Spend ₹25,000 a month and you earn 1,250 points a month, or 15,000 a year (about ₹3,000). Your ₹3 lakh annual spend also unlocks the 10,000-point milestone (₹2,000). Add 12 movie tickets worth up to ₹3,000 and you are looking at up to ₹8,000 of value a year, before the welcome bonus, against a ₹1,500 + GST fee.

How this Visa version differs

Axis sells the Privilege card in more than one form. This Visa version comes with the 12,500-point welcome bonus and Saturday-only partner discounts. The Amex version of Privilege earns 5X points on Travel EDGE flight and hotel bookings and has its own fee terms, while the core benefits (lounges, movie ticket, milestone, fuel waiver) are broadly the same.

Who should get it, and who shouldn’t

Get it if you earn ₹50,000+ a month, spend around ₹2.5 lakh or more a year and want a points card with a strong welcome bonus and a monthly movie perk.

Skip it if you spend less than about ₹15,000 a month. You will miss the milestone and lounges, and a no-fee cashback card would return more.‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌
