The AU Laksya Credit Card is AU Small Finance Bank’s everyday household card. It earns 5 reward points per ₹100 on grocery, departmental stores and contactless tap-and-pay payments, and adds monthly 15% discounts on Amazon Grocery, Amazon Now and Zomato food delivery. With each point worth ₹0.25, the real value comes from stacking the points with those discounts.
How the rewards work
| Where you spend | Points | Value at ₹0.25 a point |
|---|---|---|
| Grocery, departmental stores, contactless payments | 5 points per ₹100 | 1.25% |
| Other retail spends | 2 points per ₹100 | 0.5% |
| Insurance, utility and telecom | 1 point per ₹100 | 0.25% |
Monthly discounts
| Offer | Benefit | Cap |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Grocery and Amazon Now | Up to 15% off | ₹250 a month |
| Zomato food delivery | Up to 15% off | ₹250 a month |
| District app movie tickets | Buy one, get one | ₹250 a month |
What you would actually earn
Spend ₹15,000 a month on groceries and tap-to-pay and ₹10,000 elsewhere, and you earn 750 + 200 = 950 points, about ₹237 a month. If you also max the Amazon Grocery and Zomato discounts, that is up to ₹500 more, taking the monthly value close to ₹740. Yearly spend in this example is ₹3 lakh, enough to waive the renewal fee.
Other benefits
- Up to 8 domestic airport lounge visits a year, a maximum of 2 a quarter, unlocked by spending ₹50,000 in the previous calendar quarter.
- Welcome gift: choose 4,000 bonus points or a ₹1,000 brand voucher after paying the joining fee, activating the card and making your first transaction within 30 days.
Things to watch
- The 15% discounts are capped at ₹250 a month each, so they help most on orders up to about ₹1,700.
- Lounge visits depend on your spend in the previous quarter, so a quiet quarter means no visits in the next one.
- Bill payments, insurance and telecom earn only 0.25%. Use a different card or UPI for those.
- Contactless payments earn the top rate, so tap your card at shops instead of swiping or using UPI.

Who should get it, and who shouldn’t
Get it if you order groceries on Amazon, use Zomato regularly and pay by tapping your card at shops. The welcome gift covers the first-year fee.
Skip it if your spending is mostly online shopping or travel. Outside its bonus categories, 0.5% is a low return.
Bottom line: Laksya is a sensible mid-range card for monthly household spending. It will not win on any single category, but the mix of grocery points, food delivery discounts, movie offers and lounge access gives steady value for a ₹1,000 fee that most families can get waived.
