The AU Bank Vetta Credit Card sits above AU’s entry cards and focuses on lifestyle perks. It earns 4 points per ₹100 on groceries and department stores, offers up to 16 lounge visits a year across airports and railway stations, and stacks several milestone and birthday bonuses. Under the current offer there is no joining or annual fee.
How the rewards work
| Where you spend | What you earn |
|---|---|
| Grocery and department stores | 4 points per ₹100 (about 1%) |
| Other retail spends | 2 points per ₹100 (about 0.5%) |
| Insurance, utility, telecom | 1 point per ₹100 |
| Birthday (with a retail transaction) | 1,000 bonus points |
Point value: 1 reward point = ₹0.25. Bank-defined per-transaction caps apply on some categories.
Milestone bonuses
| Spend | Reward |
|---|---|
| ₹50,000 in a quarter | 500 bonus points |
| ₹1 lakh (excluding cash and fuel) | Additional 1,000 bonus points |
| ₹2.5 lakh retail spend in a year | ₹1,000 Amazon or MMT voucher |
What you would actually earn
Spend ₹9,000 a month on groceries and ₹12,000 elsewhere. That earns 360 + 240 = 600 points a month (₹150), or about ₹1,800 a year. Each quarter’s ₹63,000 of spend also earns the 500-point bonus (₹500 a year in total), your birthday adds 1,000 points (₹250) and ₹2.52 lakh of yearly spend unlocks the ₹1,000 voucher. That is roughly ₹3,500 a year in value, plus the lounge visits.
Lounge access
- Domestic airport: 1 visit per quarter when you spend ₹20,000 on retail in the quarter.
- International airport: 1 visit per quarter.
- Railway: 2 domestic railway lounge visits per quarter.
Other benefits
- 24×7 global concierge for bookings, travel arrangements and lifestyle help.
- 1% fuel surcharge waiver on ₹400–₹5,000 transactions across India.
The no-fee status is a limited-time offer, so check your welcome kit for the fee terms that apply. With an international lounge visit every quarter and two railway visits too, the card earns its keep for regular travellers even without big rewards.

Who should get it, and who shouldn’t
Get it if you want lounge access, including an international visit every quarter, on a card that costs nothing right now, and you spend a fair amount on groceries.
Skip it if you care mainly about rewards. At about 0.5% on most spends, a cashback card will earn more for the same money.
