The Axis Horizon Credit Card sits in the sweet spot between entry-level and super-premium travel cards. For ₹3,000 + GST a year you get 5 EDGE Miles per ₹100 on flight and travel bookings, 2 EDGE Miles on everyday spends and up to 40 airport lounge visits a year with no spending target attached.
How the rewards work
| Where you spend | What you earn |
|---|---|
| Axis Travel Edge portal and direct airline bookings | 5 EDGE Miles per ₹100 |
| Other regular spends (excluding restricted categories) | 2 EDGE Miles per ₹100 |
| Welcome bonus: first transaction of ₹1,000+ within 30 days | 5,000 EDGE Miles |
| Card renewal | 1,500 EDGE Miles every year |
| MakeMyTrip | Instant savings on flights and hotels every Wednesday |
Earns nothing on: Axis Bank’s restricted categories. Check the current exclusion list on Axis Bank’s site before routing rent, wallet or similar payments through the card.
What you would actually earn
Book ₹1,50,000 of flights a year directly with airlines and put ₹25,000 a month of other spends on the card. That is 7,500 Miles from travel and 6,000 from everyday spending, so about 13,500 EDGE Miles a year before bonuses. Add 5,000 welcome Miles in year one, or 1,500 renewal Miles every year after.
Lounge access
- Domestic: up to 32 airport lounge visits a year.
- International: up to 8 lounge visits a year.
- No spend rule: unlike many cards, access is not tied to a quarterly spending target.
Because direct airline bookings earn the full 5 Miles, you are not forced to book through a bank portal to get the top rate. That flexibility matters if you like to manage bookings, seat selection and changes on the airline’s own app.
In year one, the 5,000-Mile welcome bonus alone covers a large part of the fee. From year two the 1,500 renewal Miles help, but the card only makes sense if you actually use the lounges and book flights regularly.

Who should get it, and who shouldn’t
Get it if you fly several times a year, use airport lounges regularly and earn ₹50,000 a month or more. The no-strings lounge access is the standout feature.
Skip it if you travel once a year or less. The ₹3,000 fee will be hard to recover, and a cashback card will reward your everyday spending better.
