The Axis Neo Credit Card costs nothing to hold and pays you back in a different way from most cards. Instead of points on every swipe, it gives you monthly discounts on everyday apps: Blinkit, Zomato, BookMyShow, Myntra and Paytm recharges. You can also pick your network, Visa, Mastercard or RuPay, which makes the RuPay version handy for UPI.
Monthly discounts
| Where | Discount | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Blinkit | 10% off | Up to ₹250 a month |
| BookMyShow movie tickets | 10% off | Up to ₹100 a month |
| Myntra | ₹150 off on spends above ₹999 | |
| Zomato food delivery | ₹120 off on orders above ₹499 | Twice a month |
| Mobile, broadband, DTH recharge via Paytm | 5% off on ₹299+ | Up to ₹150, once a month |
| Wednesdays | 15% off MakeMyTrip flights/hotels, 10% off Swiggy, up to ₹1,000 off Tira |
Welcome benefit: 100% cashback, up to ₹300, on your first utility bill payment made within 30 days of card issuance.
What you would actually save
Use two Zomato offers (₹240), shop ₹2,500 on Blinkit (₹250), book movies for ₹1,000 (₹100) and pay a ₹1,000 broadband bill through Paytm (₹50). That is about ₹640 a month, or close to ₹7,700 a year, from a card that costs nothing. Use only one or two offers and the savings shrink, but you never lose money on a lifetime free card.
Things to keep in mind
- These are merchant offers, so they need you to pay with the card on those specific apps.
- Each offer has a monthly limit, so the card works best alongside a regular cashback card for your other spends.
- Pay in full each month; interest charges would wipe out the discounts quickly.
If you choose the RuPay network, you can link the card to UPI apps and pay at merchant QR codes, which makes it easier to use the card for small everyday purchases.
