The Axis Select Credit Card is a lifestyle and travel card from Axis Bank. Rather than a headline reward rate, its value comes from monthly discounts on BigBasket, Swiggy and movies, Priority Pass international lounge access, domestic lounge visits and free golf rounds. If you use those perks regularly, they add up to far more than the ₹3,000 + GST fee.
Monthly offers
| Offer | Benefit | Frequency | Max a year |
|---|---|---|---|
| BigBasket | 20% off up to ₹500 on orders of ₹2,000+ | Once a month | ₹6,000 |
| Swiggy | Flat ₹200 off on orders of ₹400+ | Twice a month | ₹4,800 |
| Movies via District | Buy one, get one, up to ₹250 off | Once a month | ₹3,000 |
Use all three every month and the savings come to up to ₹13,800 a year, more than four times the annual fee.
Travel and lifestyle benefits
| International lounges | Up to 12 visits a year through Priority Pass |
|---|---|
| Domestic lounges | 2 visits a quarter after ₹50,000 spend in the last 3 months |
| Golf | 6 free rounds a year, plus 6 more on ₹3 lakh annual spend |
| Milestone | 5,000 Edge points on ₹3 lakh spend in a card anniversary year |
Good to know: the offer does not list the base Edge points earn rate or the value of a point, so treat the milestone as a bonus rather than the main reason to apply.
Is it worth ₹3,000 a year?
Here is a realistic case. You order Swiggy twice a month and do one big BigBasket shop, which saves about ₹900 a month, or ₹10,800 a year. Add two or three international trips with lounge visits and the card is well ahead of its ₹3,540 cost including GST. On the other hand, if you only use the Swiggy offer occasionally and never travel abroad, the fee will likely outweigh what you get back.
Things to watch
- The BigBasket offer needs an order of ₹2,000 or more to reach the full ₹500 discount.
- Domestic lounge visits depend on ₹50,000 spend in the previous three months.
- The extra 6 golf rounds and 5,000 Edge points both need ₹3 lakh of spending in a year.
Fees and charges
| Joining fee | ₹3,000 + GST |
|---|---|
| Annual fee | ₹3,000 + GST |
| Annual fee waiver | Spend more than ₹8,00,000 in a year |
The ₹8 lakh waiver threshold is high, so most cardholders will pay the fee each year and should count on the monthly offers to cover it.

Who should get it, and who shouldn’t
Get it if you fly internationally a few times a year, order from Swiggy and BigBasket every month and maybe play golf. Used fully, the offers alone pay for the card several times over.
Skip it if you won’t use the monthly offers or lounges. Without them the card has no clear reward rate to fall back on, and the fee is unlikely to be waived.
