The HDFC Bank BizFirst Credit Card is the entry point to HDFC’s business card range. It costs just ₹500 + GST, waived once you spend ₹50,000 in a year, and pays CashPoints of 1% to 3% on business expenses, including UPI payments. Like all HDFC Biz cards, it gives up to 55 days of interest-free credit on business expenses, which can smooth out cash flow between paying suppliers and getting paid by customers.
How the CashPoints work
| Where you spend | CashPoints | Cap |
|---|---|---|
| EMI spends | 3% | 1,000 a month |
| Utility bills, electronics, SmartPay and PayZapp | 2% | 500 a month |
| All other spends, including UPI | 1% | 500 a month |
| Quarterly milestone: ₹75,000 spend (excluding rent and petrol) | 2,000 CashPoints | Every quarter |
Caps matter: the monthly limits are low, so the earning potential is up to 2,000 CashPoints a month from the three buckets, plus 8,000 a year from milestones. Rent and petrol don’t count towards the milestone.
What you would actually earn
A small business that spends ₹25,000 a month, including ₹10,000 on utilities and electronics and the rest on supplies, collects about 350 CashPoints a month. At ₹75,000 a quarter it also earns 2,000 points every quarter, for a yearly total of roughly 12,200 CashPoints. The redemption value of a CashPoint is not stated in the offer, so check it on HDFC’s site.

Who should get it, and who shouldn’t
Get it if you are a freelancer, shop owner or small business wanting to separate business spending from personal spending, with an ITR above ₹6 lakh. The low fee and easy waiver make it close to free.
Skip it if your business spends lakhs every month. The low caps will limit you, and BizPower or BizBlack will return more.
Tip: a separate business card makes bookkeeping and GST input claims much easier, because every business expense sits on one statement. Pay the full bill each month; business card interest is as expensive as on any personal card.
