Our verdict

What we like

  • Accelerated rewards on tax and GST at a low fee
  • Covers business travel and software subscriptions
  • Same SmartBuy and Dineout perks as costlier Biz cards

Watch out for

  • No fee waiver mentioned
  • 10X caps and CashPoint value not stated in the offer
  • Self-employed applicants only

The HDFC Bank BizGrow Credit Card sits between BizFirst and BizPower. It keeps the low ₹500 + GST fee but adds 10X CashPoints on the big-ticket payments a growing business makes: bill payments through PayZapp and SmartPay, income tax and GST, business travel on MakeMyTrip MyBiz, and software bought through SmartBuy BizDeals. Like all HDFC Biz cards, it gives up to 55 days of interest-free credit on business expenses, which can smooth out cash flow between paying suppliers and getting paid by customers.

Good to know: the offer does not publish the monthly cap on 10X CashPoints or the rupee value of a CashPoint. Check both on HDFC Bank’s site before routing large tax payments through the card.

How to get the most from it

The 10X categories are the whole point. Route GST and advance tax payments, recurring utility bills and your accounting and cloud software subscriptions through the card, and book business trips on MMT MyBiz. Spend ₹1 lakh a quarter on the card and you also pick up 8,000 milestone CashPoints a year.

Paying tax on a credit card also gives you up to 55 interest-free days before the money leaves your account, as long as you clear the full bill on time.

Other benefits

  • Welcome voucher: ₹250 gift voucher for Amazon, Swiggy and more on one transaction within 37 days of issuance.
  • SmartBuy: up to 5% cashback on travel and online shopping.
  • SmartPay and PayZapp: assured cashback up to ₹1,800 in the first year for automating utility bills, plus e-vouchers up to ₹800 for adding two or more bills.
  • Dining: up to 7.5% savings on Swiggy Dineout at 20,000+ restaurants.
  • Fuel: 1% surcharge waiver on ₹400–₹5,000 transactions, up to ₹250 per statement cycle.

Who should get it, and who shouldn’t

Get it if your business regularly pays GST, tax, software subscriptions and travel, and you want accelerated rewards on those without paying a premium fee.

Skip it if most of your spending is everyday purchases. BizFirst gives similar perks with an easy fee waiver and pays on UPI too.

Before paying tax by card: check whether the payment gateway adds a convenience fee. If it does, compare it with the CashPoints you earn, and always clear the full bill by the due date so interest doesn’t wipe out the benefit.
