The HDFC Pixel Play Credit Card lets you design your own cashback card. You pick two brand packs that earn 5%, choose one e-commerce platform for 3%, and earn an unlimited 1% on almost everything else. It is lifetime free, so there is no fee to earn back.
How the cashback works
| Where you spend | Cashback | Cap |
|---|---|---|
| 2 brand packs of your choice | 5% | 500 CashPoints a month per pack |
| 1 e-commerce platform: Amazon, Flipkart or PayZapp | 3% | 500 CashPoints a month |
| SmartBuy (flights, hotels, bus, rail, vouchers and more) | 5% | 500 CashPoints a month |
| UPI spends (Pixel RuPay card only) | 1% | 500 CashPoints a month |
| Other eligible spends | 1% | Unlimited |
The five brand packs
- Dining & Entertainment: BookMyShow and Zomato
- Travel: MakeMyTrip and Uber
- Grocery: Blinkit and Reliance Smart Bazaar
- Electronics: Croma and Reliance Digital
- Fashion: Nykaa and Myntra
Earns nothing on: fuel, rent, EMI, e-wallet loading and government transactions.
What you would actually earn
Choose Grocery and Dining. Spend ₹6,000 a month on Blinkit and Reliance Smart Bazaar and ₹4,000 on Zomato and BookMyShow, and you earn 300 + 200 = 500 CashPoints. Add ₹5,000 on Amazon at 3% (150) and ₹10,000 of other spends at 1% (100), and you collect about 750 CashPoints a month, or around 9,000 a year. Each 5% pack maxes out at ₹10,000 of spending a month.
Good to know: rewards are credited as CashPoints. The offer does not state their rupee value or redemption rules, so check HDFC Bank’s current terms before comparing Pixel Play with cards that pay straight cashback.
The 3% e-commerce slot caps at 500 CashPoints, which is reached at about ₹16,700 a month of spending on your chosen platform. Choose the one you use most: Amazon, Flipkart or PayZapp. Packs and platform should match where your money actually goes, because the uncapped 1% applies to everything else.

Get it if your spending is concentrated on a few apps covered by the brand packs and you want a free card you can tailor to your habits.
Skip it if you spend heavily in one category, beyond the 500 CashPoints monthly cap, or if your credit score is under 750.
