The IDFC FIRST Mayura Credit Card is aimed squarely at international travellers. It pairs zero forex markup with a generous 32 complimentary lounge visits a year across domestic airports, international airports and railway stations. On top of that come accelerated reward points, Buy 1 Get 1 movie tickets, golf and a trip cancellation cover.
Lounge access
| Type | Allowance | Per year |
|---|---|---|
| Domestic airport lounges | 4 per quarter, plus 1 guest visit | 16 |
| International airport lounges | 4 per quarter | 16 |
| Railway lounges | 4 per quarter | 16 |
Good to know: the offer describes this as 32 complimentary visits a year, but the quarterly allowances listed add up to more once railway lounges are included. Check the bank’s current lounge terms for exactly how visits are counted. Access also depends on the card being active.
How the rewards work
| Spend | Earn rate |
|---|---|
| Monthly spends up to ₹20,000 in a statement cycle | 5X Reward Points |
| Incremental spends above ₹20,000 | 10X Reward Points |
| Travel bookings via the IDFC FIRST app | Accelerated points |
The welcome offer adds 12,000 points worth up to ₹6,000: 4,000 points when you pay the joining fee, then 4,000 more each time you spend ₹20,000 in the second and third statement cycles. Points never expire while the card is active.
Is the fee worth it?
In year one, the welcome points can roughly match the ₹5,999 fee. After that, value comes from what you use. Two international trips a year with a couple of lounge visits each, zero forex on ₹1 lakh of overseas spend (most cards charge a markup on this), and monthly Buy 1 Get 1 movie tickets can comfortably exceed the fee. The ₹15 lakh waiver target is out of reach for most people, so plan on paying it every year.
Other benefits
- Movies: Buy 1 Get 1 on BookMyShow twice a month, up to ₹500 off the second ticket, if you spent ₹20,000+ the previous month.

- Trip cancellation cover: up to ₹50,000, twice a year, for eligible non-refundable flight and hotel cancellations.

Who should get it, and who shouldn’t
Get it if you travel abroad at least a couple of times a year, spend ₹20,000 or more a month on the card, and want lounge access and zero forex without paying for a super-premium card.
Skip it if you mainly travel within India. The IDFC FIRST Ashva gives similar perks for half the fee, and a lifetime free zero-forex card may be enough for occasional trips.
