The IndiGo IDFC FIRST Dual Credit Card is a co-branded travel card with a twist: you get two cards, a Mastercard for global use and a RuPay card for UPI and Indian acceptance, on one shared limit. It earns IndiGo BluChips on every spend, up to 22 per ₹100 on IndiGo flights, and charges 0% forex markup.
How the rewards work
| What you do | What you earn |
|---|---|
| IndiGo flight bookings | Up to 22 BluChips per ₹100 |
| Everyday spends | 3 BluChips per ₹100 |
| UPI, rent and utility payments | 0.5 BluChips per ₹100 |
| Welcome (joining fee route) | 5,000 BluChips + IndiGo meal voucher |
| Every renewal | 5,000 BluChips + meal voucher |
| Milestones (₹2L, ₹5L, ₹8L, ₹10L, ₹12L) | Up to 25,000 BluChips a year |
| ₹1 lakh spend in first 90 days | Extra 3,000 BluChips |
BluChip value: one BluChip is worth roughly ₹0.60 to ₹1.20 depending on how you redeem. Redeeming for IndiGo flights where you get the higher value makes the biggest difference.
What you would actually earn
Say you spend ₹30,000 a month on everyday purchases and ₹50,000 a year on IndiGo flights. That is about 10,800 BluChips from everyday spends and up to 11,000 from flights, plus 5,000 for paying the fee: around 26,800 BluChips, before any milestone bonus. At ₹0.60–₹1.20 each, that is roughly ₹16,000–₹32,000 in value against a ₹4,999 + GST fee.
Why two cards?
Mastercard is accepted almost everywhere worldwide, which pairs well with the 0% forex markup on trips abroad. The RuPay card can be used for UPI and QR payments in India. Because both share one limit and one bill, you get the best of both networks without managing two accounts.
Other benefits
- Dining: complimentary 3-month EazyDiner Prime membership.
- Hotels: exclusive offers such as a stay voucher for The Postcard Hotels.
- Forex: 0% markup on all international transactions.
Tips to get the most from it
- Book IndiGo flights with the card to earn the highest BluChip rate.
- Aim for ₹1 lakh of spend in the first 90 days to collect the extra 3,000 BluChips.
- Use the Mastercard abroad and on foreign websites, where the 0% forex markup saves the most.
- Put everyday card spends on it rather than UPI, since card spends earn six times more BluChips.

Who should get it, and who shouldn’t
Get it if you fly IndiGo a few times a year, spend ₹25,000 or more a month, and travel abroad. The everyday earn rate, zero forex and yearly BluChips make the fee worthwhile.
Skip it if you rarely fly IndiGo or mostly pay via UPI and bills, which earn just 0.5 BluChips per ₹100. A no-fee cashback card would suit you better.
