The Kotak Air Plus Credit Card is a travel card that earns Air Miles instead of reward points. You get 5 Air Miles per ₹100 on flights and hotels booked through Kotak Unbox and 2 Air Miles per ₹100 on other eligible spends. Since 1 Air Mile = ₹1 when redeemed for flights and hotels on Kotak Unbox, that is a clean 5% and 2% return.
How the Air Miles work
| Where you spend | Air Miles | Value at ₹1 a mile |
|---|---|---|
| Flights and hotels via Kotak Unbox | 5 Air Miles per ₹100 | 5% |
| Other eligible spends | 2 Air Miles per ₹100 | 2% |
| Joining and every renewal fee payment | 2,500 bonus Air Miles | ₹2,500 |
| ₹1.5 lakh spend in a calendar quarter | ₹5,000 travel voucher or equivalent Air Miles | Up to ₹20,000 a year |
Air Miles can be redeemed for travel bookings, vouchers, or transferred to partner airlines and hotels. The ₹1 value applies to flights and hotels booked on Kotak Unbox.
What you would actually earn
Book ₹5,000 a month of travel through Kotak Unbox and spend ₹20,000 elsewhere, and you earn 250 + 400 = 650 Air Miles a month, about ₹7,800 a year. Add the 2,500 bonus miles from the fee payment and the card returns more than its ₹3,000 fee. Spend ₹1.5 lakh in a quarter and the ₹5,000 voucher adds a big boost on top.
Lounges and other benefits
- Lounges: 4 complimentary domestic airport lounge visits and 2 international lounge visits a year, with a Priority Pass membership.
- Fuel: 1% surcharge waiver on ₹500–₹7,500 transactions, capped at ₹4,500 a year.
- Zepto offer: 10% instant discount up to ₹125 on orders of ₹999 or more, once a month, valid from 1 October to 9 November 2026.
- Welcome voucher: spend ₹1,000 within 30 days of issuance for a ₹500 Flipkart voucher (claim code shared within 60 days). Valid till 31 October 2026.
Things to watch
- International lounge access is limited to 2 visits a year, so frequent international flyers may still pay for extra visits.
- The 5% rate needs bookings through Kotak Unbox; booking directly with an airline earns the 2% base rate.
- The Zepto and Flipkart offers are short-term and end in October and November 2026.
Fees and charges
| Joining fee | ₹3,000 + GST |

| Annual fee | ₹3,000 + GST |
| Bonus on fee payment | 2,500 Air Miles each year |
The offer does not mention a spend-based fee waiver, but the 2,500 bonus miles you get on each fee payment offset most of the fee.

Who should get it, and who shouldn’t
Get it if you book flights and hotels a few times a year and are happy to do it through Kotak Unbox. The flat ₹1 mile value makes it easy to know what you are earning.
Skip it if you prefer booking directly with airlines or other travel sites, or rarely travel. Outside Kotak Unbox the return drops sharply.
